Day 1

I made it to the hotel safe and sound and I had an awesome flight over. I started off with a seat sandwiched between two elderly gentlemen, but after the doors to the plane were closed one of the men updated to first class so I was left with 2 seats all to myself! I had no problem falling asleep on the flight either, thanks to the complimentary wine and our in flight movie being a snooze... the Vow. Thanks for the Lunesta anyways, mom!
I met up with a few other students at the airport and we took a private car to the hotel and I'm not going to lie, I felt like Mary-Kate and Ashley in Passport to Paris when we drove past the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower.
Today we are just checking into our rooms and getting settled in. I had a little bit of time to explore our neighborhood, but we will go on our first walking tour tomorrow. I can't wait!
UPDATE
Just for you Victor, here's what I had for dinner tonight:

A friend and I walked around and stopped at Pizza Grenelle for margherita pizza. Not a typical French meal for our first night here, but it smelled too good to pass up.
